Hello lovely Crafters.....
So it's no secret I have a love for inks and there is no exception with Jamie's NEW Metallic Ink Pads. So today I'm showcasing a card which I think you will enjoy making, and brings together elements from the Tile Collection, Floral Lace Collection and the inks.....
Step 1
Taking the Elegant Butterfly Oval Die Set and cut out the plain oval and the front Butterfly panel.
You also want a separate lattice tile and a plan tile from the centre, the four corners fronts and backs. All of these need to be in Raven Black Elite Card.
Next, take the following Metallic Ink Pads :-
Spread the inks from the ink pad onto the plainblack oval as seen in Picture 1 📸
Now you can use either a blending brush or blending tool here to apply colours.
For speed, I just used my finger as it was easier and washes straight off.
Now stick the black butterfly oval on top.
✅ TOP TIP
If you do apply using your fingers, I would advise washing and drying you hands before to prevent any hand grease transferring onto your pads.
Step 2
▪️As seen in Picture 2 📸 above
Colour the centre of the butterfly panel using the Brushed Gold
📝 NOTE - You don’t have to cover all of it like I have here, you can just do the edges if you wish!
Next take the plain black tile and colour this like we did with the large oval panel.
Stick the lattice tile on top.
Now adhere this in the middle of the butterfly panel (as seen 📸).
You can now colour the corner backgrounds as we did with the others, and stick the tops on.
Step 3
Now take a 8x8 white card blank
Take the largest die from the Fluted Rectangle Die Set above
Place your die over the crease so you don’t cut through it, and cut out the rectangle (as seen 📸).
So you now have a card blank to match the edges of the Elegant butterfly oval.
Now adhere the Elegant Butterfly Panel on foam tape / pads.
Now stamp out the "Happy Birthday" sentiment from the above stamp set onto the second smallest plain rectangle.
Stick this onto the smallest fluted rectangle that has been cut from the black card and coloured with the Silver Lining Metallic Ink Pad. Again, stick on with foam tape / pads (as seen 📸).
Finally glue the corners on.....
For those lovely finishing touches, add some small gold pearls for butterfly bodies and add a gold bow below the sentiment.
I am in awe of how beautiful these Metallic Ink Pads are to work with; you really have to try them to realise just how much you can actually do with them.
