A Fairy Garden ~ By Lynn Lewis

A Fairy Garden ~ By Lynn Lewis | Craftmania

Hello Crafters....

So I was set a challenge this week by my six year old Granddaughter who wanted a birthday card with bunnies, a garden and a fairy (no pressure lol)!!

Now she already knew I had all of these, as she always likes to help me with die cutting.

We don't often share children's cards... but thought those of us with little ones may appreciate the inspiration and stretch the imagination :-)

▪️Firstly, I cut out some of Sue Wilson's Easter Collection bunnies in different colours - pink, white and kraft card.

▪️Then cut out a couple of Jamie Rodgers Pierced Collection -' Fairy Wishes fairy in white card.

including the other elements for more detail.

Plus cut out a couple of the Butterfly Garden Wishes Set from the Wings Of Wonder Collection (Volume II) along with the little butterflies and dragonflies....

▪️Then I chose a selection of Glitter Brush Pens to colour everything on my card - (these pens were featured on our previous Craftmania 'Spotlight.' Got to love that extra bit of sparkle!!

▪️Next I took an 8 x 8 card blank and covered it with some of Craftmania's Marbled Cloud Paper. ✅You also have the option of 'distressing' a piece of white paper with blue ink (eg Distress Oxide Ink Pads) and stick that on instead.

▪️Then cut a strip of green Maya card and snip through it to create your grass... see my photo above.

▪️I cut the trees from the Butterfly Garden Wishes panel and stuck that onto the card and the grass

(just on top of it though, so you can see the flowers peeking out over of the top).

▪️Next, I tucked in the bunnies in behind the grass along with the flowers and swirls that came with the fairy!

I only coloured in one of the fairies and the wings on both them.

✅ I glued the half coloured one underneath the full coloured one and left the wings so they could separate. I then adhered the fairy to the card using foam pads.

▪️Next I cut out my "Happy Birthday" sentiment from Jamie Rodgers Sentiment Collection - Essential 2 Set. I chopped up a couple of sentiments to make up Granddaughter, and then coloured these with the glitter pens, before sticking them to the card.

▪️I finished off with little butterflies and a dragonfly stuck around the card, with watering cans along the grass.....

I think it's always lovely to make a personalised card, and it was so nice to see how elated she was with the card!! :-). Why not give it a go and share with us on our Facebook Group - Create With Craftmania And Jamie Rodgers.

Take care
