Blossom Garden By Ian Rump-Smith

Hey guys

I hope you've all had a lovely Easter and indulged in a few pieces of chocolate (or more if you are like me lol)....

So I thought I would mix it up a bit with a few die sets this week.

My original plan was all white, however I've decided to add just a little colour, to add a slight subtleness to my card.

Step 1

My base card is 8x8 as any smaller wouldn't work.

From the Spellbinders Die set Peekaboo Trellis Panels, I took the leafy panel and taped it to my card using low tack tape.

I secured it to the left hand side - not too close to the edge as your card could weaken too much.

Run this through your machine unfolded.

Step 2

Next I cut a piece of acetate and using double sided tape.

I attached it behind my panel on the inside of my card.

Now this is where I changed my mind to add colour....

I took a page from the Trimcraft Patterned Card Sheets Pack and cut this just slightly smaller than the card base. I glued this inside my card so this could be seen through my panel.

Step 3

The three panels on my card were cut from white and the left over card from my insert.

Measurements are:

▪️4¼ inches x 7 inches

▪️4 inches x 6¾ inches

▪️3½ inches x 6¼ inches

The largest I glued to my card base, and then the next two layers I used thin foam tape.

Step 4

The final part was cutting out all my die cut pieces. The sets I used were :-

▪️Creative Expressions Fairy Wishes Collection - Fluttering Ivy

▪️Creative Expressions Everlasting Love Collection - Rose Blossoms

▪️Creative Expressions Fairy Wishes Collection - Just For You

I cut four sets of flowers and three leaves in white card, and then used a thin ended Embossing Tool to crease my petals and leaves. I cut the fairy out in white too.

I had a small piece of the coloured Trimcraft card left, so I cut some of the butterflies from the Fluttering Ivy set.

In pale blue cut I cut out my sentiment "Just For You.”

I used a strong wet glue to add all pieces of my petals and then positioned onto my card front.

I finished by added some gold pearls to my flower centres.

A nice easy make card that could be used for any occasion.

Hope you like my card and will have a go and show your creations on our Facebook Group - Create With Craftmania And Jamie Rodgers.

Thanks everyone!

Have a crafty rest of the week and I will return next Wednesday for a brand new blog.
