Design Team - Little Angel Stepper Card by Ian Rump-Smith

It's that time again and I have done a different card shape I haven't blogged before. I do love a stepper and this is a nice wide one so a large area to work with.

This is for a New Baby Girl but of course you can adjust to your own make.

Step 1:

I took a sheet of A4 300gsm white card and using the guide below I measured out my card base. Nothing has to be cut off and I used the whole sheet.

Zoom in to see the measurements and the solid line is to be cut and the dotted lines are to be scored.

Once you have made the cuts and done your scoring, start from the bottom and fold the sides and then gently crease the center one. I used my bone folder to give a nice sharp crease.

This is how it should look.

Step 2:

Next, I cut my panels for the centre, 2 sides and the bottom panel.

I used the Trimcraft Patterned card pack, which has nice pastel shades and ideal for children's cards.

I also used silver Mirri.

Here's the breakdown of the panels :

Front Panel

Silver 11.5cm x 12cm

Pattern 11cm x 11.5xm

Side Panels x 2

Silver 3.5cm x 11.5cm

Pattern 3cm x 11cm

Bottom Panel

Silver 2.5cm x 20.5cm

Pattern 2cm x 20cm

I used double sided tape to put my panels together.

I used a wet glue, Cosmic Shimmer and stuck my panels to my card base.

Step 3:

Next, I made the bunting and for this I used Mini Bunting Flags and New Baby Sentiments.

I used one of the smallest in one design of the bunting, and cut 11 pieces in Kraft card.

Next, in white card I cut the "little Angel" die from the set.

Gently I cut away each letter of the sentiment and glued these to the bunting. I used tweezers and my fine nozzle glue bottle as this is a little fiddly.

Once done, I cut some thin twine and then turned my bunting over and put a little glue along the straight edge of the tops and layed my twine on top, and left to dry.

Step 4:

While my bunting was drying I decided to cut out my flowers.

I used the CE Everlasting Love Collection Rose Blossoms.

I picked some of the patterned papers from the pack and then cut a nice selection of flowers and leaves, enough to make 3 large flowers and 3 small ones.

I also cut out my sentiment for the bottom panel in silver Mirri and used the "congratulations" from the New Baby Sentiments.

NOTE: I didn't use the largest flower die in the set and my large flowers used the next 3 large die cuts and the small flowers I used the smaller 2.

Step 5:

I glued my bunting onto my card and just used a small blob of glue and cut the excess string off.

I waited for this to dry, so was a good time to make a cuppa lol.

Now using silicone glue I added my Flowers and Sentiment to my card to complete it. You can of course add more flowers or use other dies if you want more on your card sides but I kept mine minimal.

I added mini pink pearls to the centre of my flowers to finish them off.

Card is completed and ready for giving to the happy parents.

I hope you will have a good go at making my card or just give it your own makeover.

Thanks for checking out my blog and Happy Crafting everyone!
