Happy Wednesday Crafters!
Today I wanted to revisit the technique I shared with you a little while back of creating the gorgeous metallic floral displays, it's so easy and can come in handy for so many occasions.
Step 1:
I started with a DL card base and then cut my mats from Black and Silver card. I used a pearl silver card but mirri card is fine too.
Black 19.5cm x 8.6cm
Silver 20.2cm x 9.2cm
I glued these to my card base using wet glue.
Step 2:
Next I cut my flowers and foliage using the Cosmos Flower die set -

I cut them out in black card (using the left over card from my black mat)
Once cut out, I then took my Nova Fine Line Metallic Markers and coloured all my flowers and foliage.
I cut a random amount as I wasn't sure how many I needed (ended up only using just one flower and one foliage piece, so that wasn't a bad guess).
I used my fine tip glue bottle with Cosmic Shimmer Glue and made my flowers up. This set gives you both an open fret work flower and a solid base so you can layer them. I then used my glue and black foam squares to decorate the lower part of the front of my card.
Step 3:
For my sentiment I used 'Happy Retirement' and cut out in black.
Again using my Nova pens, I coloured the 'Happy' with a separate colour for each letter and then 'Retirement' I used the silver colour.
Using my fine tip glue, I added it to the top of my card.
Final Step:
I added some Silver Pearls to my flowers.
TIP - Even though they are adhesive, I do add a little glue to give extra strength.
I then added some random glue blobs and added some Dew Drops.
Card completed!
