Hello Lovely Crafters....
This weeks' post is a combination of Creative Expressions Fairy Village Collection and Spellbinders Build A Fall Bird House Die Set, along with Nova's Watercolour Paint Set.
So let’s get started....
Step 1
To begin... create a background using the Nova's Watercolour Paint Set.
✅ TIP - Don’t be afraid to mix up the colours if they are darker than you would like!
I usually brush water across the watercolour card before painting, so that it’s lighter :-)
📝 NOTE - Make sure you include a pebble path too.
▪️The size for this watercolour card is 18½ cm x 15cm
When dry cut down an 8x8" card blank to 19½ cm x 16cm and mat it onto some green card.
Step 2
Cut out your Build A Fall Bird House and the Magical Door together with the other elements and then four of the Floral Branches with the blossoms and leaves.
📝 NOTE - These are all in white card, except for the Magic Door which I cut from Kraft card.
Step 3
Using the Nova paint palette, paint all of the elements up in colours of your choice!
I then cut my bird house in half (as you can see 📸) and stuck a piece off the bottom of another Magical Door across the bottom.
Then when they are all done and dry, start building up the card as seen 📸
I used foam pads to adhere the Magical Door, post box, toadstools and the bird house. I also attached a piece of string to the bird house to hang it on a branch.
It’s a very simple lay out, but I think it looks quite sweet....
The little birdies came from my stash!
Step 4
Add a sentiment....
I chose "Hello Spring" from Creative Expressions Wordies Sheets.
Then to finish I added little yellow pearls that I coloured with an alcohol pen in the blossom centres.
I love how adaptable the bird house die is just simply cutting it in half and it’s a totally different house .
Give it a try.... these themed cards are so much fun to make and versatile for different occasions!
