Hello All.....
I always think green is an under rated colour in cardmaking, however it also happens to be my lucky colour, so today I’ve paired it up with pink to show you how well it works together.
And of course, I am using Jamie Rodgers' brand new Essential Die Collection which co-ordinates beautifully!
Step 1
Take the stencil that accompanies this Collection - Elegant Butterfly - Kaleidoscope, together with a sheet of the Meadow Grass Green Card.
With your die cutting machine create the following sandwich -
Place the card on a bottom cutting plate, then the stencil, then the foam mat, followed by the top cutting plate.
📝 This is the sandwich I use for the Gemporia machine.
Trim it down to 16½ x16½ cm and stick it onto a white card that measures approx 17 x 17 cm.
Step 2
As seen in Picture 1 📸, cut out the following :-
▪️Butterfly Corners in Meadow Grass Green and Rose Petal Pink (4 of each)
▪️Plus the plain deckle edged back piece in Rose Petal Pink.
▪️Borders & Corners Collection - Straight Lines Die Set in Rose Petal Pink
Next, take the Meadow Grass Green corners and stick them to the pink back piece (as in Picture 1 📸) and set aside.
Take a ruler and find the centre of each side and make a light pencil mark.
Stick the piece (as shown) on foam roll/ pads in the middle like a diamond lining up your marks with the corners.
Now erase those pencil marks.
Step 3
Take the pink straight lines and using two of the thin ones, cut out four strips measuring
approx. 2¼ inches long.
Stick these above the points of the diamond (as seen in Picture 2 📸)
Now you should be able to match the pink corners in and stick down as seen.
Lastly take Jamie Rodgers Sentiment Collection - With Love Circle Die Set.
Cut out the back plain circle and the the sentiment in green and stick them together
Now stick this in the centre on foam roll/ pads.
Here I added some green pearls to take your eye away from the overlapping of the centre edges and joins of the straight lines.
✅ TIP - Don’t forget plain white ones can be coloured with alcohol pens.
I really need to stock up on pearls lol!!
