Hello Crafters….
I’ve had a bit of a change from the “Norm” for me…
I don’t do dark style very often, as I’m more of a ‘bright coloured person.
However this Teal Linen card was calling me this week lol.
So let’s get creating…..
Step 1
▪️Cut out 6 of each of the Spellbinders Peony flower dies (above), 3 of the leaves, plus 3 of the stamen sets all in the same teal card.
▪️Now shape the flowers and leaves (you can do this various tools - I’ll pop them in the list below)
Next, colour the flower edges with Dawn Aurora Mica Magic
I put the gold around the edges of the flowers, purple on the stamens and a green on the leaves.
Step 2
▪️Cut out a Build A Fall Birdhouse in Kraft card (and colour it as seen 📸) using the Dawn Aurora Mica Magic again.
✏️ NOTE - Here I used the same gold colour as the flowers, and then did a mix up on the other bits.
▪️Set aside then make up the flowers in three different sizes
Step 3
▪️Emboss a piece of white card size 18.8cm x14.1cm and colour it with Mica Magic used before.
I chose to use this beautiful (and versatile) 3D Embossing Folder
▪️Next - mat it onto a piece of teal linen card size 19.2cm x14.6cm then onto an 8x8” white card blank, which was then cut down to 19.7cm x15cm .
Step 4
Stick the birdhouse together with all of its’components and add a little birdie if you have one :-)
Then stick this onto the card; don't worry about the door at the bottom - this is covered by the flowers that can now be stuck on with the leaves (as seen 📸).
My sentiment “Birthday” is from one of my Creative Expressions Wordies Packs, and I've coloured with Dusty Concord Distress Ink.
I then dipped my finger into a pot of Cosmic Shimmer Metallic Gilding Polish - Hay Bale and touched it on the ends of the stamens to finish.
