Happy Saturday Crafters....
This week I have a new die set for you from Spellbinders - Build a Fall Bird House .. and that’s what I've done. You'll love this one, it's nice and easy if you want that quick card!!
Step 1
Take a piece of watercolour card 10.5cm x 16.5cm and Nova's Watercolour Paint Set and create a background as shown. 📸
✅ NOTE - I used a wider paintbrush and just swept the colours across the card.
To achieve the 'cloudy look,' pool a small amount of water and dab it with a cloth or tissue.
Next make a Kraft card blank card base (folded size 11.5cm x 18cm) and mat it with a piece of yellow card 17 x 11cm.
Now you can stick your painted background on top!
Step 2
Using the Build A Fall Birdhouse Die Set, cut out the following in Kraft card
▪️Two houses
▪️An assortment of leaves, pumpkins and acorns
▪️Plus cut some leaves, pumpkins and flowers in white card too.
Step 3
Now colour these die cuts with Mica Magic - here I've used Midnight Aurora and Dawn Aurora palettes.
Just go for it....
Blend light autumnal colours together on the different elements.
You will soon find, once you’ve got the hang of it, you can do them as dark or as light as you wish.
Don’t forget the bird house too and the little window shutters.
For the birdhouse's post, I cut a strip from the second bird house down one side (as seen📸) and stuck it on the back. I then adhered a scrap of dark green card in the back too so it looks closed in, as well as scraps of red card on the back of the window shutters for the hearts.
I used my Oakwood Glitter Brush Pen in Fuchsia in the little hearts around the square opening, over roof's edge and window shutters after they had the micas on them.

Step 4
Now stick the birdhouse onto the card using foam tape.
Stick all the pumpkins and acorns on with some in the foreground on pads and hiding the post's bottom.
Now place the leaves like they are blowing in from the side of the card and place a sunflower on pads at the top of the house (as seen📸) and one near the bottom just glued on.
Glue the little shutters on and cut out a sentiment from Wordies Sheets Collection (of your choice) I have chosen a sentiment from the 'All Occasions' Set.
My little birdy came from another die set in my stash....

This card really makes me think of the autumn and Halloween with tge pumpkins , and we haven't had summer yet lol. Love the colours you have used.
