Design Team ~ White Christmas! By Lynn Lewis.

Hello!

I don’t know about you but I like to get the most out of my dies and don’t always want to make up the same sets so I mix them up.

Today’s card comes from a recent die of the week, the festive snowflake filigree frame, and John Next Door Christmas dies, the Regal Holly frame and the Amaryllis die set, along with one of Jamie's sentiments.

Step 1:

Cut the dies you see in picture 1 and make up 6 of the smallest Amaryllis flowers. I’ll point out here that I used different white card stock to get the different shades of whites, I’m sure you’ve noticed that they are not all the same and I love the differences.

Then take a 6 x 6 card blank and cut it down to 5 & 3/4 x 5 & 3/4 inches.

Now cut a square of white card 5 & 1/2 x 5 & 1/2 inches and score round the edges twice at 1/2 cm and 1 cm as seen in picture 1, then take a white ribbon about an inch wide and stick it round the middle of the scored piece then stick foam roll on the back and stick it to the card blank.

Step 2:

Take the plain back piece from the festive snowflake filigree die and stick foam roll on the back and stick it to the card as in picture 2.

Now place foam roll  to the centre of the filigree piece and stick it on top.

Here's where I started to sparkle things up!

I squeezed out some twinkles Aurora on my mat and dabbed my finger in it and the onto the filigree piece.

It’s easier this way if you just want to give it a little sparkle.

Step 3:

As you can see in picture 3, I’ve used Twinkles Aurora on all the other elements and cut the Regal holly frame to use as foliage with the Amaryllis.

The centre piece back was again stuck on with foam roll and the snowflake piece glued on top.

For my flower centres I rummaged in my stamens box and found these sparkly ones but a lovely glittery gem will do the  job as well I stuck them in with hot glue and added some glitter so you don’t see the blobs of glue .

Now stick on your flowers and foliage as seen in picture 3.

To finish, I cut the 'Let it snow' sentiment from Jamie's pierced collection and gave that a bit of sparkle too then added some white pearls as I didn’t like the blank space in the bottom corner.

I never used to make white on white cards but they are really growing on me now, they can be so beautiful.

Hope we get some sunshine this week!

Take care,

Lynn x
