Today we thought it might be nice to have a little play with the NEW LEATHER EFFECT CARD!
I have started off with a sheet of the black card and used the Dusty Concord Oxide Pad with a blending brush to cover the card to an approx 8"x8" area
While the ink is wet I have sprinkled on Crystal Sparkle Aurora Embossing Powder and heat embossed it
Not only has this added a lovely sparkle, it's still kept a hint of the leather texture and black shining through.
I have then cut the panel down at this stage to 6.75"x6.75"
I've then diecut two corners to add to the top of the panel.. from the Black leather effect card.
In the middle I have then chose to add a white leather effect square - 4.75"x4.75"
On top of this I have then cut a black leather effect piece of card 4.5"x4.5" and using a brayer I have applied a covering of the Dusty Concord Oxide Ink, the brayer being a harder surface just glides over the top of the card, leaving the texture to show through.
I've then die cut a selection of Wings of Wonder Cherry Blossom flowers and just distressed the tips to match in.
I've then diecut a selection of leaves, a backing panel for my sentiment and two butterflies from the White leather effect card.
For my sentiment I have die cut "with love" from an off cut of the heat embossed panel from earlier so it matches in, and brings a little hint of that sparkle forward.
I've then added in a selection of silver gems.
To finish off I've layered this all on to a card blank 7.5"x7.5"
With a layer of black - 7.25"x7.25" and white - 7"x7".
