Happy Jubilee weekend :))
What can I say ‘Christmas’ has arrived in the crafting world as it usually does this time of the year and just as I’m looking forward to my very soon summer holiday, I’m making Christmas cards lol.
To start this card I first done some stencilling I like to do loads at once and leave them to dry overnight .
Now I’m not the worlds' greatest at stencilling with paste as you can tell and I’m sure there’s plenty of you that can do much better but don’t stress over it if it’s your first time it is fun once you get the hang of it .
I started with the Holly green sparkle paste on the leaf rows taking care not to get too much in the berry rows then I did the apple red on the berry rows carefully removed the stencil and washed it straight away .
When this was dry I matted it onto some silver mirror card and placed on a 8x8 card blank with pads.
I cut the bauble sections out next with green card and the whole round piece in silver card and stuck the green onto the silver placing red gems as you can see on the picture .
I stuck the ring on the bauble and tied a red ribbon through it then stuck it on the centre of the card with pads .
Next I cut out some foliage pine cones and swirly bits from the Sue Wilson ‘Pine and Holly sprays’ dies set in silver card and stuck these behind the bauble as seen..
I know the bauble is a greeting in itself but I added the sentiment from the bundle set ‘with love this Christmas’ Stamped in Red carnation archival ink on a noble stitched rectangle and matted on silver mirror card with pads then attached to the card with pads .
Stencilling can be done with all sorts of mediums as you will find on other projects on this blog and Jamie Rodgers videos -check them out :)
Have fun .
Absolutely amazing ❤
