I do love a girly bling card but no one ever sends me one, and.....as it’s our Anniversary soon I made myself one lol. Let’s start with the cross stitch embossing folder and emboss a sheet of white card, then cut it diagonally across using the lines of the pattern to cut along but not corner to corner.
Next, with a blending smoothie, colour one half with the Lemon Meringue blending ink and the other half with the Princess Pink chalk cloud blending ink. With a sheet of silver mirror card stick the pink and lemon pieces to it joining them up so the pattern matches again. Out of my stash I found a lovely butterfly chain so I stuck a piece across the join and one of the butterflies in the corner. A piece of luxurious ribbon or lace will look equally as good with a bow in the corner but wrap it round the edges of the card and attach on the back. Next, attach this to a 10 x 7 white card blank. Next, die cut some of the spiral Pearl flowers and leaves from the March bundle in white card - I've cut about 7 large and 7 small and about 20 small and 20 large leaves. Colour the flowers with the Lemon and Pink blending inks. When dry, shape and stick together and set aside, then do the leaves with distress ink Shabby Shutters and shape these too.
Now, from the New Zealand Wellington die, cut the two plain centre parts - the larger one in silver mirror card the smaller one in white card. With Archival ink 'Picked Raspberry' I have stamped out the 'Happy Anniversary' on the small white piece, picked from the John Lockwood stamps, then brushed over it with the Lemon Meringue blending ink. Stick the greeting piece on top of the mirror card piece and then pad it onto the left side of the card. Now place all your flowers on the card how you would like, adding a gem into the centres of the flowers. This would also make a great Birthday card and I love how these colours go so well together.
