It’s the weekend again..... they seem to be coming round so fast now. I’m sure Christmas comes around quicker each year!
Now, hopefully you will have seen Jamie’s video tutorial on Facebook or Instagram, on how to stamp with Cosmic Shimmer Aurora Flakes or Gilding Flakes.
I saw it earlier this month and it’s was brilliant; giving me the inspiration to make this card.
It’s another nice and easy one too :-)
You will need :-
To begin with, I got a sheet of black card and my Cosmic Shimmer Flake And Glitter Glue.
I poured some glue onto a Distress Ink Applicator and dabbed it over my Woodware Old Letter Script Stamp.
Then, using my Stamp Press, I stamped it onto the black card. I repeated this a couple of times to ensure that the image had printed completely with the ink.
Whilst I waited for the glue to set and turn clear, I washed my applicator and stamp, so that the glue didn't set dry on them.
Next, I got a small amount of the Cosmic Shimmer Aurora Flakes in Golden Onyx, and with my foam applicator, I gently rubbed them all over the glued area I had stamped out.
Then I cut out the Creative Expressions Sitting Pretty Die (from my Hand Picked Bundle) from Kraft card and trimmed off the cat-flowers and basket.
I then covered it in the Cosmic Shimmer Flake And Glitter Glue, leaving the seat and handle blank. Once ready, I covered with the same flakes. For the finishing touches, I coloured the seat and handle with a brown marker pen.
For the card itself, I used the matt and layering technique.
I used a piece of brown card at 18cm x 12.5cm (7 1/8 x 4 3/4 inches)
I trimmed the black script card to 17cm x 11cm (6 3/4 x 4 3/8 inches)
I used another piece of brown card on the top at 15cm x 9.2cm (5 7/8x 3 5/8 inches)
These were then glued onto a 8 x 8 inch Card Blank (fast becoming my favourite size) then I glued the bike on as seen and try not to drop a bit of glue on the nice brown front like me Iol .
The sentiment ‘Have a Fabulous Day' from the Bundle, was stamped out with my Versamark Ink and heat embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Gold Detail Embossing Powder.
I cut this out with a die from the Sentimental Bauble set mentioned on previous blogs this month.
The ‘Brother’ sentiment was cut from Creative Expression’s Phill Martin's male Relative dies in gold mirror card and stuck on the card directly.
Other relatives are available lol.
The corner embellishments are from my stash.... but there are lots of options you could use here including buttons and gems to name a couple!!
