I have got to say this is the best Butterfly stamp I have had in a long while !
It’s so detailed and delicate and stamps out beautifully.
So let’s start
Step 1
Take the Lace Butterfly Clear Stamp, and stamp out one in each of the following VersaFine Clair Inks on Polar White Elite Card.
▪️Golden Meadow
▪️Tulip Red
▪️Fantasia
▪️Summertime
Fussy cut them out in the layers (as seen 📸)
Next, set the "Fantasia" butterfly aside and cut the "Summertime" butterfly edges off (as seen 📸) Then with the Tulip Red cut out the centre piece and with Golden Meadow just the body.
Step 2
Take the Fantasia and Summertime coloured butterflies.
Place some tweezers along the body and fold the wings upwards; then slightly round back the whole ones.
Stick them together just along the body using foam roll.
Follow the same process with the red centre, so that you now have three layers.
Before adhering the green body, take a foam pad and stick it under the orange wings before rolling it up a bit (as seen in the photo below 📸).
✅ TIP - This is how to stop the wings from going flat and losing dimension.
Finally stick the green body on with glue.
That’s your beautiful lace butterfly made!!
Step 3
Take a Polar White square of card and in the same colour inks (as above) then stamp all around the edge roughly with the smaller butterflies as seen .
Next, using the above Foiled Inkables panels - trim down to the foil edge (as seen below 📸).
Place this onto a Stamp Platform and then place your butterfly where you want it to be.
Now take the antenna from the stamp set and place them slightly under the butterflies head or where you wish!
Make a pin prick mark with a pencil; remove the butterfly and place the antenna back where your mark is.
Now ink it up with Fallen Leaves and stamp it out before sticking your butterfly on the panel.
Time for a sentiment….
I placed the “Happy Birthday” stamp between the wings and picked it up on the stamp platform and stamped out with Fantasia ink.
Step 4
Take an 8x8” card blank; mat and layer with silver mirror card and the butterfly frame which we stamped out earlier. Then stick the layered butterfly panel on pads on the top.
Now take another silver foiled panel like before and stamp a sentiment from the set above in Fantasia. Also include a little butterfly in Summertime ink and stick this panel inside the card.
And we are finished……
I hope you like how I’ve layered the Butterfly and got anidea of just some of the ways you can use it … as its really is quite lovely!
