Jamie Rodgers Crafts Festive Die Collection ~ Pink Christmas By Lynn Lewis

Jamie Rodgers Crafts Festive Die Collection ~ Pink Christmas By Lynn Lewis | Craftmania Blog

Hello All ....

This weeks' card is especially for all of you who LOVE pink Christmas trees.

I bet a few of you are sitting here now thinking, what??!!

Well believe me, I have a few crazy friends who do... and I think you might after seeing this - so stay with me :-)

To add to our fun, I've decided to do an easel card; a rarity for me only because I get carried away with other styles... however I loved making this one.

Step 1

▪️Cut out two Silver Mirror card Opulent Christmas Trees

Stick one onto Jamie Rodgers' Rose Petal Pink card and cut around it with some tweezer scissors

(as seen in Picture 1 📸).

▪️Next, glue the other silver tree on the back, so that you now have a double sided tree.

TIP - We do this so that the back doesn’t look scruffy!

Step 2

▪️Cut the panels for the card insert

You need one Silver Mirror and one Bubblegum Pink

📝 NOTE - Apologises, as I forgot to take measurements before they left me. However you can easily see what you need by measuring the card size when folded up.

▪️Now cut two silver pieces and two Bubblegum Pink for the folded panels and then stick these together.

▪️Next take a 7x7" white card blank and fold the front in half (as seen in Picture 2 📸)

Stick on all three panels as seen.

Step 3

Now for the decorative part...

Stick pearls onto your Opulent Christmas Tree - you only need to do one side.

As you can see in Picture 3 📸, I’ve coloured some pearls with an alcohol pen to get the colour I wanted. I then adhered them with glue (for extra security) and set them aside to dry!

TIP - For fiddly work with pearls, I always use a tool like the one above as it makes things quicker and easier.

Next cut out the above die set in Rose Petal Pink and Bubblegum Pink Elite Card, and also in Silver Mirror Card (as seen below 📸).

Stick the sentiment onto the Bubblegum Pink circle, and then glue that onto the silver back with foam pads. Once you've done this, add pads to the bottom.

Step 4

Cut approx. four lots of the Classic Poinsettia dies in Rose Petal Pink.

TIP - The Classic Poinsettia is one large cutting plate. If you don’t wish to cut them all out, just put a strip of card over the small flowers.

Using Silver Mirror Card, cut out the 'fern style leaves' from the Festive Foliage Die Set.

Make these up as seen in Picture 4 📸

To complete the card, stick the Christmas tree onto the easel with foam pads - only the bottom half.

Then stick the Merry Christmas Circle sentiment in the centre / bottom.

This will serve as a stopper.

Then to finish, glue on the Poinsettias and silver foliage.

Creating A Box....

You know I love do things properly... so I went ahead and created a box to go with the card.

My measurements for this were 8½ x 8½ inches scored at ¾ of an inch all the way round for the base.

Such a fun card to make, and it can be made in any colour - traditional or modern - the choice is yours. I challenge you to give it a go :-)

Don't forget to share your makes with us on our Facebook Group - Create With Craftmania And Jamie Rodgers.

Until next time have a great week.
