Jamie Rodgers Fairy Village Gift Cards By Ian Rump-Smith

Jamie Rodgers Fairy Village Gift Cards By Ian Rump-Smith | Craftmania Blog

Greetings all Crafter's

Ever stuck for a gift?

Well, a gift card is an ideal gift and putting it in a "special" card makes it even more special....

Step 1

▪️Take a sheet of A4 white card and crease it in half.

▪️Now cut this in half to give yourself 2 card bases.

▪️I then used my Presscut Rectangle Dies to cut my mats out of Gold Mirri and Coconut White Card.

Step 2

▪️I next cut notches to the inside of each card using Jamie Rodgers' Circles dies set from Jamie Rodgers In & Out Collection.

▪️Using low tack tape, I taped the small half circle die to the inside (circle facing inwards on one side first) which I ran through my machine.

✅ I used an old credit card ( I use this in my craft for flattening out bubbles) to gage the position.

▪️Repeat as before, and then test with the credit card to make sure it's a good fit.

Step 3

▪️For the first card I inked a background on one of the white mats.

I used my Blending Brushes and Distress Oxide Ink Pads - Uncharted Mariner and Mowed Lawn.

▪️I then used Creative Expressions Fairy Village Collection - Woodland Dwellings Die Set and white card, cutting out the tree, grass, clouds and seated fairy.

I inked the grass in Mowed Lawn and then used my Nova Dual Tipped Brush Pens to colour the other die cuts. Glue the gold mat to the card base and then add the decorated white later.

Step 4

Time to decorate your card front with the coloured die cuts.....

✅ To do this I used my glue with Woodware's Ultra Fine Glue Applicator as the pieces are very small and these are ideal.

For the sentiment, I used Creative Expressions Wordies - All Occasions.

These are brilliant - so quick and easy!!

Step 5

▪️Repeat the process again as above for the other card.

I used Creative Expressions Fairy Village Collection - Floral Dwellings.

▪️For the background here, I've used Cosmic Shimmer Pixie Sparkles in Heavenly Hues and Flirty Sky.

Check out Jamie Rodgers YouTube Channel to see a number of great video tutorials and find different techniques of how to use them. If you are NEW to Pixie Sparkles, watch this first...

It's simple ...

▪️Finely mist your background, sprinkle on your powders, remist and dry with a Heat Gun.

(You can leave to dry for an hour so you don't get any buckling of your card).

TOP TIP - Lightly spritz both sides of your card before you add your Pixie Sparkles.

This prevents your card from bending whilst wet

That is it guys, nice easy to follow guide and can be made for any occasion.

I made these gift cards just for fun :-)

Thank you for checking out my blog and I will be back again next week with another make.

As always please do share your makes with us on our Facebook Group - Create With Craftmania And Jamie Rodgers.

Take care
