Jamie Rodgers Fairy Village ~ Believe! By Lynn Lewis

Jamie Rodgers Fairy Village ~ Believe! By Lynn Lewis | Craftmania Blog

Hello again.....

I absolutely adore the Fairy Village collection, it reminds me so much of my childhood and all the little houses we used to build and draw.

Today's card is a Christmas wintery scene made to look like Gingerbread houses in the village made with Kraft card and a white gel pen, its quite simple so let’s get on :)

Step 1

Using the Noble Stitched Squares Set B cut a frame in Kraft card measuring 15x15cm outside and 13x13cm inside.

Then cut out a white one measuring 15x15cm outside and 10.5x10.5 cm inside .

You might want to trim a very thin strip from the edges of the white one and then stick it under the Kraft card one as seen in picture.

Next take 3 thin strips of card and cut some snow mounds into them as seen and stick them onto the Kraft square that came from the frame. TOP TIP Only stick these snow mounds along their bottom edge this then allows you to tuck houses into them .

Step 2

From the Fairy village collection select the set Woodland Dwellings and in Kraft card cut the tree, the standing fairy, 2 houses with the chimney and 1 of the other house plus 3 toadstools and a cloud.

I did cut the moon but it was too big for the scene so I cut the smaller moon from the Floral dwellings set.

Now take a white Gelly roll pen and start to colour bits of the village as you can see in the second picture and dot the pen over the card background with the snow mounds on.

Next tuck all the houses and toadstools in the mounds and stick them down but not the one with the tree behind - we need to put the frame on first .

So stick on the frame to the background piece then tuck the tree in behind the house with the cloud slightly behind the branches and stick them down and stick the little fairy and the moon as seen in picture 2.

Step 3

Take a 7"x7" white card blank and stick the framed village onto the card using foam roll or pads as seen in picture 2.

Next, take from Jamie Rodgers pierced collection the Believe in the magic Die and cut out in white card then Stick onto the Kraft frame.

To finish the card lets twinkle it up with sparkle Star Twinkles across the roof tops, toadstools and on the moon, also to the trees and some to the fairy wings and then across the tops of the snow mounds.

You can of course layer this card all up on pads to give it more dimension if you so wish.

Hope you enjoy making one.

Take care,

Lynn xx
