Jamie Rodgers Fairy Village ~ Floral Dwellings by Lynn Lewis .

Hi again,

I’m back with the Funky foam because I wanted to make my Granddaughter a card using the new Fairy village collection and I know she will just love it in the colourful foam.

Step 1

I didn’t realise I was going to blog this one so not many pictures I am afraid, but I felt you really might like to see how this one comes together.

From the Floral Dwellings die set cut two each of the houses in the colours of your choice of foam. You can do the same as me, you will need two different colours for each house.

Next cut out a white fairy and two green bluebell branches and two pink.

Also two white clouds, some mini butterflies and dragonflies plus toadstools in brown.

Lastly, cut two rows of the grass in green, and then from Jamie’s sentiments 'Female Relations' cut Grand Daughter in pink.

Step 2

This is a bit like paper piecing where you cut the roofs off one and stick them on top of the others and cut the pink flowers off and stick on the green branches .

I used cosmic shimmer dries clear glue, be aware it'll take a minute or two to bond with foam to foam.

Step 3

Take a 6"x6" card and cut the width down to the size of the grass strips.

Then taking the Nova Brush pens scribble some blue on a tile or glass mat and spray with a little water and sponge all over the card. I used two different blues and a sponge with holes.

When dry, stick the biggest piece of grass to the bottom edge tucking in the first house that has been coloured with alcohol pens at the back .

Then colour and stick the tree house in front with the other piece of grass in front of that.

Tuck the branches behind the fairy houses with glue and stick the little critters around to then stick Granddaughter at the top.

Step 4

Colour your fairy - I used alcohol pens for this because they dry quicker. Sparkle her up with some twinkles and add some sparkle to the granddaughter as well.

Next take some Stickles and spread some on the houses, flower branches and grass. Tuck the little toad stools into the grass and stick your fairy and the clouds and touch everything up with a final sparkle.

Hope you like this and what a fun card for a little girl who loves Fairies .

Take care and keeeeep crafting

(Sorry had to do that it’s the Strictly factor lol )
