Jamie Rodgers' Pierced Collection ~ Shimmery Daisies By Lynn Lewis

Hello All.....
Today I’m bringing you a card using Jamie Rodgers' Pierced Collection by Creative Expressions,
featuring the Oval Heart Frame Die Set.
As always, I'd love you to craft along with me, so you can find the Shopping List for my project at the bottom of this page.
▪️Our first step is to cut out the frame and the oval centre piece separately using white card.
You will also need Daisy Blossoms in white card - cut out the following
1️⃣ 4 large double daisies
2️⃣ 4 small double daisies
3️⃣ 8 centres and enough leaves for 2 per flower
▪️For my sentiment, I have chosen Jamie's Sentiment Collection - Essentials 2 Set.
Die cut "Happy Birthday" in black card .
▪️So let's start by by painting the Oval Heart Frame with our Cosmic Shimmer Shakers.
Here I've used Delicate Blossom, Tangy Tangerine, Raspberry Rose, Lush Pink, Vintage Gold and Lime Burst (for the leaves).
▪️I sprinkled a little of my Shimmer Shakers into a paint pallet and then used a flat brush, dipping it into a little water before the powder to dilute it. Using the 'Delicate Blossom' first, I painted across
the top, next to the Raspberry Rose then the Tangy Tangerine, followed by the Lush Pink.
You will find that these blend into each other nicely.
▪️Next using the Vintage Gold, I used a bit more water and brushed it across all the colours (but only very lightly).
▪️Now take the Heart Oval centre piece and with the brush repeat this process again, but this time just using Lush Pink and Tangy Tangerine. Lightly brush over with Vintage Gold.
Set these aside - they won't take long to dry! Look at my photo below to get an idea....
FLOWERS
▪️In size order - I created the largest flowers in Tangerine, followed by Delicate Blossom then
Lush Pink and Raspberry Rose.
▪️Colour the centres in Tangerine and the leaves with Lime Burst.
Shape your petals with an Embossing Tool and stick the flowers layers together.
Then take the oval heart frame and mat this onto black card.
With the oval centre piece also stick this on black card without any showing round the edges .
Then stick this to the centre of the frame with pads
▪️Take another piece of white card, cut it so it will layer under the black card, and under the frame. Then paint a border around it with Delicate Pink.
Now adhere this onto another piece of black card, and stick these onto a cut down 8x8 card blank.
Then take the Oval Heart Frame and stick this onto the card with foam roll.
Now decorate with your daisies and leaves as seen on my card.
▪️To finish, add your sentiment by drawing and fussy cutting around the "Happy Birthday" die and then paint it with the same colours as the oval centre.
Stick the "Happy Birthday" on and then attach it to the centre of the card with pads.

Beautiful card Lynn. Can I ask please... did you use an 8x8 card blank? As listed on the shopping list?or did you cut it down? I struggle to find the right size card blank to fit this die.Many thanks Sue x
