Product Focus Funky Foam Fun ~ Fairy Friends By Lynn Lewis

Hello All....

Well guess what I’ve been having a playing with.... Funky Foam lol!!!!

Today is the launch of our NEW Product Focus week, so being that I have fallen in love with the NEW Fairy Wishes Collection, I thought I we would make a Fairy card... so lets go!!

Step 1

▪️First cut out the Enchanted Lattice Die front in white foam, and then in purple foam, cut out the back section.

▪️Next, take Fluttering Ivy and again cut her out in white, with her butterflies in pink and purple.

▪️Cut out Moonlit Phoebe in white with one toadstool in red and one in white.

▪️From Starry Angela’s set, cut out some yellow stars.

▪️Next cut some small purple and pink foam flowers from the Deckled Edge Blossom Set.

You want about three sets of each foliage branch in green foam.

▪️Cut one Entwined Rose Border in white foam.

▪️Lastly cut out the "With Love" sentiment in black foam and here you want the backing in pink.

TIP - Don’t forget to put a piece of card between your foam and cutting mat to prevent impressions on the foam from your used plate..

Step 2

▪️Take a 7x7 white card blank and cover the front with Sky Blue Maya card... so it’s a tent fold.

Now stick the white lattice on top of the purple backing of the little fence, and then stick it to the bottom of the card with foam pads.

NOTE - Leave enough room at the top to tuck foliage behind.

Step 3

▪️Take your Entwined Rose border and colour with alcohol pens or Ranger Inks - you need green, brown and pink tones.

▪️Adhere this to the Enchanted Lattice and then stick some foliage behind the lattice (as seen).📸

Step 4

Colour your fairies....

▪️Now I'm not the greatest at colouring, however I used my alcohol pens and sparkled them up with Cosmic Shimmer Aurora Twinkles (if you know me by now, you will know I LOVE these!!

(I’m afraid Ivy put in a bit too much Lippy but I didn’t have the heart to tell her lol)

▪️Take the red toadstool and cut off the top and stick it onto the white one.

I used some pens here to colour the stem and the underneath.

Then with a black pen colour the spots on top.

▪️Use foam pads to stick the toadstool onto the lattice and then stick Pheobe on top of the pads also.

▪️I've been a little creative with my placing here...

I've stuck Ivy sitting in the lattice fence like they are having a chat, placing a pad or two behind her where she is above the fence, placing a butterfly in her hand.

Step 5

▪️Stick the "With Love" wording onto the sentiment backing and then glue it on the card with foam pads.

▪️Make up a couple of small flowers as seen, and stick them either side of the sentiment.

TIP - I find hot glue is great for making up flowers as it is super strong, especially helpful when you are building layers and adding gems etc.

▪️Now stick some foliage around the sentiment and flowers, then the stars and butterflies.....

To finish, I've added some tiny gems for Ivy’s headband and some on Phoebe's pony tail :-)

You see Funky Foam adds a whole different dynamic to your projects and emboss' wonderfully - plus it feels so soft!!
