Spellbinders Spotlight - Triple Panel By Ian Rump-Smith

Spellbinders Spotlight - Triple Panel By Ian Rump-Smith | Craftmania Blog

Hey all!

I'm back again with another gorgeous die set for the Spellbinders Spotlight, and I have to say this has been one of my favourites to work with, as it has so many uses.

Let's get started.....

▪️I used the Spellbinders Tiara Trifold Die Set

✅ You get full instructions on the back to show you how this card base is cut, but I will try to explain it as clear as I can.

▪️Take a sheet of white card measuring 6 x12 inches. Here I used a sheet of A3 card and cut it in half length ways. Or you could use a 12 x 12 and cut to size.

▪️Using the main frame from the die set; put this in the bottom left of the card so it is level with the bottom and left side. Use some low tack tape to secure it.

▪️Now you can use a small die cutting machine here, but I found it easier on my large machine so the card didn't flop about. Once this has been cut, remove the tape and move the base die to the edge of the first cut.

✅ I found if you line it up with the inside of the die and the dotted line it should come out perfect.

TIP - It did take me a few attempts to do this right, so I would recommend trying this out on scrap paper to master it first, so you do not waste your best card.

So after lining up the second cut, secure with tape again and run through your machine.

Repeat one more time.

▪️Next we are going to cut out the beautiful filigree pattern 3 times.

Again line up at the top of each panel, secure with low tack tape and run through your machine.

▪️For the lattice pattern, I used 2 tones of light brown card or cream would also work well!

➡️ Use the lattice outer for the light shade and cut this 3 times.

➡️ Then cut 3 of the lattice in the darker shade before gluing each piece together.

Glue each to the panels.

Decorating - this can be your own choice; I decided to to do each panel different.

▪️I cut my flowers in card, and then used a Blending Tool to add Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide Inks to the petals.

My foliage is cut from pale green card and can be cut so you can put at different angles.

▪️For the central sentiment I used Creative Expressions Noble Round Corner Squares Die Set along with a stamp from my stash.

My "Hello" sentiment is included in the Spellbinders Die Set, and "Happy Everything" is Sue Wilson's Mini Expressions.

This card can be made multiple times for different occasions, with variations of design and flower shades so lots of options! I absolutely LOVE this set!

Look out on our Facebook Group this week for a Christmas version of this card :-)

Thank you for checking out this blog, and we'd love to see your version and creations with this set on our Group - Create With Craftmania And Jamie Rodgers.

Until next time guys take care
