Spotlight - Oakwood Glitter Brush Pens ~ Wired Butterflies By Lynn Lewis

Spotlight - Oakwood Glitter Brush Pens ~ Wired Butterflies By Lynn Lewis | Craftmania

Hello all .

What better way to play with Glitter Brush Pens, than colouring butterflies.

▪️So let’s start by stamping on your platform with Francoise Read's Woodware Stamp - Wired Butterflies.

I used a Leaf Green - Make Art Ink Pad for the wires and Cactus Flower for the butterflies.

▪️Now take your glitter pens and colour your wires and butterflies.

TIP - Don't worry about going over the edges inside or out, as they need to blend together and you’re cutting them out!

I used the following pens - Coral, Gold, Apple Green, Turquoise, Fawn, Fuchsia, Amethyst and Forest Green.

Leave these to dry off and set aside.

▪️Now take the NEW Sue Wilson 3D Embossing Folder - Brick Wall and emboss a sheet of white card.

▪️Then using Lost Shadow Distress Oxide Ink Pad, take a blending brush and colour it all round.

▪️Next with Distress Oxide Pad - Hickory Smoke, wipe it over the top to pick up the raised areas on the card ..

▪️Now take a 5"x7" blank card and with the embossed piece, cut around the embossed bit to fit the card at the bottom and with a gap at the top and sides as you can see in my picture you can glue this to your card.

▪️Next using all the little circle stamps in the set, stamp around the edge of the card using Make Art Ink Pads - Buttercup, Cactus Flower, Poppy, Leaf Green and Sky Blue.

Then colour some of them in with the pens as seen.

▪️You will need a sentiment - so using Francoise Read's Long Tag Wishes set, stamp out the tag in Leaf Green ink. Use your Stamping Platform to place the sentiment in the middle of it and stamp that in Cactus Flower ink.

Fussy cut this out and make a hole where the circle is and place a bit of string or raffia through it.

▪️Now you need to fussy cut out your butterflies and wires...

✅ TIP - Don’t try to be perfect with the wires they look better with the white surround.

▪️When done, stick your wires onto the card, making sure you leave room for the butterflies on the edges and centres. Then shape your butterflies wings up a bit, and glue them to the tops of the wires.

▪️To finish, take your sentiment and stick it across the card with foam roll.

How much fun was that... and it's a card to make you smile....

Take care
