Spotlight Oakwood Glitter Brush Pens ~ Golden! By Lynn Lewis

Spotlight Oakwood Glitter Brush Pens ~ Golden! By Lynn Lewis | Craftmania

Hello Crafters

Welcome to the Design Team's first 'Spotlight' Blog with Oakwood Glitter Brush Pens.

As always, you will find the Shopping List for my project at the bottom of this page.

Today, I have used Jane Gill's Woodware Mixed Bunch Stamp, along with her Bubble Bloom Texture Blots Stamp Set.

So let's get started..... ▪️Cut two pieces of black card (one slightly bigger than the other), so the Stamp will just fit onto the smaller one piece.

▪️Rub over your card with a Woodware Magic Anti-Static Pad

✅ TIP - Use the Woodware Anti-Static Pad to prepare your surface prior to stamping and heat embossing. It eliminates the static that causes embossing powders to cling to unwanted parts of your image resulting in a crisp, clean embossed image.

▪️On the smaller sized card, stamp your Mixed Bunch image and the sentiment that’s included, using your Stamping Platform and a VersaMark Ink Pad. Once you're happy, take your Cosmic Shimmer Detailed White Embossing Powder, and sprinkle it over the inked image, before heating embossing.

▪️Now take the Woodware Textured Blots Stamp Set, and stamp this around the edge of the larger black card (as seen in my photos). Again, use your Detail White Embossing Powder and heat emboss. Once done, set aside.

▪️Next, take an Oakwood Gold Glitter Brush Pen

(this colour is perfect as it stands out the best on black card).

✅ TIP - Give these pens a good shake before first using them. Take the lid off and remove the brush part, and take off the little yellow band. Screw the brush end back onto the pen, next on the side of the pen in the middle. You will see 'push' on both sides, so gently squeeze these until the ink starts to activate into the brush. Your pen is now ready to use,

As best practice, give them a little shake each time before use to get the glitter flowing.

▪️Now you are ready to colour your flowers....

I coloured almost everything in with the gold pen, and left a few details black, including the centre of the flowers and the mossy elements. Feel free to design as you wish!

▪️Take some Gold Silk Mirror Card, along with the black and white bubble textured blots you created earlier, to make your mat and layers. These need to fit onto a 5x7 White Card Blank.

These layers are glued together and should lay flat onto your card.

▪️To finish off, I chose to use Jamie Rodgers' Wings Of Wonder Collection - Butterfly Confetti Die to create the butterflies to decorate. I used the same black and gold card to compliment.

(To let you into a little secret, because it happens to us all.... I had messed up my background piece and needed to cover a little bit up with a butterfly lol)

This is such a simple, yet beautiful card, so I hope you will have a go....

I'd love you to see what you make, so please share with us on our Facebook Group - Create With Craftmania And Jamie Rodgers.

Have fun, and I look forward to seeing you again soon with some more ideas....

Lynn xx
