Just For You!!
A pretty little 6" x 6" card to make you smile....
✅ Quick Introduction to Cosmic Shimmer Glitterbitz
If you haven't used them before.... as they are absolutely stunning and much more than just the average glitter....
Glitterbitz are multi faceted glitter particles, contains a mix of different sized particles for even more sparkle and added texture. They can also be mixed with embossing powders and artists mediums, so perfect for mixed media projects!! They come in two variations including Holographic, and 32 colour options....
Creating The Butterfly
You will need to die cut out two butterflies - one in Lilac Maya Card and the other in purple.
Stick on the back a double sided adhesive sheet piece then trim around -
▪️Don’t take the back off just yet.
▪️Now get some Cosmic Shimmer Glitterbitz. I chose Holographic Lilac Shine which I rubbed all over the front of the wings.
▪️Take the protective sheet off of the back, and stick the purple one on, and again stick some more Glitterbitz onto it, so it is sparkly on both sides.
▪️Add some gems onto the body (as seen below) and set aside.
▪️Next, using Sweet Dixie's Fantasy Floral Border Die, cut out once in Dark Green Maya Card, and then cut out the same die in Sun Yellow, Pale Pink, Red and Moss Green to create the flowers and leaves.
✅ TIP - So not to waste card, I sometimes put a scrap of card on the bit I want to cut out, in order that I am not cutting out the whole die.
▪️Now paper piece these elements into the border as you can see here.
▪️Next, take your 6"x6" blank card and add a square as your first mat. I cut this Square using Sue Wilson's - Noble Pierced Squares from cream card.
I used the die that cuts just over 12cm square. ▪️Then cut the next size down in Craftmania's Marbled Cloud Paper, and mat and layered these onto the card.
▪️You can now stick the Fantasy Floral Border onto the card base, and add some gems and stick your Butterfly's body down just above.
Sentiment
I used Jamie Rodgers Sentiment Collection - Essentials 1 Set - “Just For You" and cut it down to stick in place.
I have then adhered some additional gems to look like a butterfly trail as a finishing flourish.
