Hello Crafters.....
Today's card was made using Creative Expressions Classic Weaving Die Set and Craftmania's Ivory Pearl Paper.
▪️As you can see in the picture, I used a black fine liner pen to highlight the stitched effect on the background - I think it looks quite effective :-)
▪️I stuck this onto a piece of card and trimmed it to fit a 6x6 card blank.
You know me, I don't like waste, so using a piece of left over card from cutting out a Noble Double Stitched Frame in Antique Gold Pearl Card that I used for something else I trimmed this to fit around the edge.
▪️Next, I cut out the Sue Wilson's Layered Sunflowers in white card (enough for five flowers and foliage), Sue Wilson’s Flower Pot Craft Die in Kraft Card and the "Just For You" sentiment in white card. I also cut out a little butterfly from Creative Expressions Dainty Butterfly Set too.
▪️I coloured my flowers using Tim Holtz Watercolour Pencils and a Water brush, and for the pot I 'distressed' with a Make Art Ink Pad - Potting Soil.
▪️The sentiment was coloured with the same colour as the flowers - Mustard Seed water colour pencil.
I stuck the pot onto the card using foam pads, so it was slightly rounded.
For the flowers, I stuck one directly onto the card in the middle and others on pads around it; tucking the leaves in around the flowers.
The sentiment I glued directly onto the pot along with the little pink butterfly....
There we are - a very quick and simple card to make with these weaving dies which I warn you are very addictive ;-)
