Happy Wednesday Crafters!
I have a nice and easy card for you to make this week, and is open to many opportunities.....
We all hate making Sympathy or Thinking Of You cards; so this is a simple and subtle card design - ideal for letting someone know you are thinking of them.
It actually reminds me of a posh framed window, and has the scope to be made to look like stained glass if you wish :-)
Step 1
I took a sheet of A4 white card (300gsm) and folded it in half using my Bone Folder to give a nice crease.
Next using the Spellbinders Wistful Window and cut out my pieces.
I used Grey Dovecraft 180gsm card and 300gsm white card and cut the following:
Large Frame
Medium Frame
Small Frame
Step 2
I glued my pieces together.
✅ TIP - For this I recommend using a fine tip glue applicator or Sticky Specks, as there are some intricate, thin die cuts to work with here! (See my Shopping List below)
Glued together first, I used my Presscut Rectangle Nesting Frames Die Set and cut a mat in
Silver Mirror Card for under the ‘large frame.’
In the Wistful Window set, is an oval that sits on the top frame.
I also cur one of these in Silver Mirror Card
I attached all my frames to my card base and used glue on the large frame and 2mm Foam Tape for the smaller two.
Step 3
Next I used another Spellbinders die set called Peekaboo Trellis Panels.
Using two shades of pink, and two shades of green Dovecraft card, I cut out the flowers and leaves from the set.
I glued together and then attached to my frames using glue and foam pads.
I finished my card with the sentiment "Hugs" - a die from the Trellis Panel set which was cut in a dark pink.
This card can suit many occasions and using accetate and colouring with permanent pens, you can give a nice glass effect… or even paper pieces in different colours would look great!
