Wings of Wonder - Moroccan Garden by Ian Rump-Smith

It's that time of the week for Inspiration made with Jamie's Fantastic Collection - Wings of Wonder.

Let's take a walk in the Moroccan Garden with this crisp clean card.

Shopping list will be at the end of this blog

I started with the perfect base of an 8”x8” card and then cut a matt in lilac card and then a smaller in cream card.

I used Noble Stiched Squares die set.

  • NOTE - don't stick to the base yet as I tried something different and was impressed!

Using Victorian Velvet Oxide and a Blending Smoothie I coloured the Lilac card and the colour was gorgeous!

What a difference in colour!

Now you can glue your layers to the card base.

Next, using the Moroccan Scalloped Lattice Background, die cut 1 in lilac (base only) and one in cream (lattice only)

With the lilac, colour again with the Oxide Victorian Velvet.

With the cream remove the scallop so you just have a plain frame.

Add your frame to the matts in the centre using Cosmic Shimmer Dries Clear glue.

Now let's cut out the rest of the cuts and start making our card burst with beauty!

Lilac card - 2 corners from the Cherry Blossom Flower and Flourish Corner set

Grand Butterfly cut 2

  • colour after cutting with the oxide ink again

Cream card - 5 sets of flowers

4 sets of tiny flowers

2 leaves

1 Grand Butterfly Body

Glue all your flower layers together and also your 3 butterfly layers but glue on the body only so we can make it look 3D.

Glue all the pieces to your card and use my photo as a guide.

Finish using some purple Gems for the flower centres and the Butterfly body.

I added a sentiment from the CE Wordies Sentiments Everyday and matt and layered with the card colours.

I just love how elegant and fresh this card looks.

Hope you loved my blog, why don't you have a go and also show us all on

Thanks all and see you soon!
