Introducing the Half Square Collection by Jamie Rodgers Crafts, a fantastic selection of five individual die sets from the Mats & Layers Collection, bringing together a beautiful variety of decorative edge finishes in a distinctive half-square format.
Designed to offer a fresh approach to traditional mats and layers, this collection features graduating half-square shapes that can be used to create striking card fronts, decorative panels, layered backgrounds and eye-catching edge treatments. With five different styles to choose from, crafters can explore everything from clean geometric designs to beautifully detailed ornamental finishes.
The Plain Half Squares provide a classic starting point, with smooth, straight edges that create crisp, structured layers. For something softer, the Fluted Half Squares introduce a pretty repeating curved edge, adding a gentle decorative rhythm to layered designs. The Postage Stamp Half Squares offer a completely different character, with distinctive rounded cut-outs inspired by traditional postage stamp perforations.
For those who enjoy finer decorative details, the Scallop Edge & Pierced Half Squares combine softly scalloped outlines with delicate pierced borders, creating an elegant finish that looks particularly attractive when layered. Completing the collection are the Deckle Edge & Stitched Half Squares, featuring irregular, handmade-inspired edges and neat stitched detailing for a beautifully textured appearance.
One of the most appealing features of this collection is the opportunity to combine different edge styles within a single project. Layer plain shapes with decorative finishes, alternate cardstock colours to highlight the contrasting outlines or use the larger half-square designs to create statement panels along the edges of cards. The graduating sizes also allow for smaller decorative features, sentiment panels and more intricate layered arrangements.
Whether working with bold contemporary colours, delicate pastels, vintage-inspired papers or luxurious metallic cardstock, the Half Square Elegance Collection provides an exciting selection of shapes for experimenting with colour, texture and dimension.
