Nellie Snellen Design Team Spotlight ~ Seasons Greetings By Lynn Lewis

Hello Crafters,

I’m back with you to do another 'Design Team Spotlight' with the fabulous Nellie Snellen Stamps.

Today we are using the Winter Deer Stamp by Nellie Snellen, and as my creative head couldn't be ignored, I've also popped in the Woodland Deer Stamp by Two Jays (you know what it's like when you have an idea lol).

▪️To begin we need to cut out three large squares using Jamie Rodgers Large Canvas Collection Die - 2 in white and 1 in black.

▪️Now take these to your Stamping Platform and stamp out the deer on them.

I used Versafine Clair - Fallen Leaves on the white squares and VersaMark Ink with

Cosmic Shimmer Detailed True White Embossing Powder on the black.

✅ Make sure you use Woodware's Magic Anti Static Pad on the black one .

Canvas Construction

Make up your Canvas dies and set them aside.

TIP - I placed some 3D foam roll (2 deep) inside to give support in the middle.

▪️Next take a 7x 10" card blank, your Woodland Deer Stamp.

Use my pictures as a guide to stamp with Versafine Clair Ink Pad - Fallen Leaves directly onto the card.

You can get a rough idea of where you want things to be by placing your canvases on the card to check, but don’t worry if it’s not perfect you can cover up bits with snow later :-)

▪️Once you've finished stamping, take an Acorn Make Art Ink Pad, along with a water pen and Blending Mat. Randomly colour some of the trees in the background

▪️Now with some red liner tape, go around all the edges of the card and peel off.

Then using Cosmic Shimmer Chocolate Gold Gilding Flakes, cover all the sticky bits :-)

Now let’s add some snow to the woodland background.....

▪️I used some of my favourites.... Cosmic Shimmer White Ice Glitter Jewels, followed with

Diamond Sprinkles (to make sure I hadn't missed any bits). I did have to add some after the canvases were stuck on.....which we will do next.

Canvases

It’s a good idea to measure across the card to get the centre. You can then stick the top black one down, followed by the two white ones just beneath as seen.

Make sure you put plenty of glue on the canvases, so they stick down well on the snowy bits.

Any more snow can be added at this point.

▪️To finish the card, I used Sue Wilson's Festive Collections Pine And Holly Spray Die Set .

I cut some of the foliage pieces in gold mirror card. I thought they looked a bit like stag horns, hence

why I used them :-). I glued them as seen, and then took two of the larger holly leaves and two of the smaller ones and stuck them in the top corners along with some gold pearls in each corner.

▪️Lastly, take Sue Wilson's Mini Expressions Shadowed Sentiment Die "Seasons Greetings" and cut out in gold and black card. Adhere to your card with foam pads, just below the black canvas.

See it is that easy..... and it's hard to capture in a photo the beautiful colours so why not give the techniques a go. Share your creations with us on our Facebook Group - Create With Craftmania And Jamie Rodgers.

Until next time, take care

Lynn x
